Note 1. It is rarely necessary for the two large Harris bushes (A in first picture) supporting the lower struts to be replaced. Usually the exposed rubber is in poor condition but this can be trimmed with a sharp knife. To check these bushes, remove the king pin and use hand pressure to move the outer ends of the struts up and down. They should always return to the same position.

Note 2. The cross swivel pin bushes (A in the last picture) are bronze bushes as fitted to early cars. Later cars used rubber bushes.
